All Back Together Again

Howard has been working on my desktop. Right now, all my files and pictures are missing. Apparently they are retrievable only he's on his way to work so not tonight and possibly tomorrow. We'll see. Once it's all back together again, I'll be able to post with old images or - LOL - have something new to show. I'm working on The Sewing Workshop's Origami skirt.

There were no comments about the video yesterday which was a bit surprising. Should I take that as a message to avoid videos in the future or was there a technical problem? Was anyone even able to look at it? Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Talk soon - Myrna

  2. Reading on an iPad there was just a blank space where the video should be.

    1. OH - I'll have to figure out how to make that work then.

  3. I read your blog on the iPad - no video, just blank space.

    1. Thanks for letting me know. I think it's a setting. Once Howard is done "fixing" my machine, I'll look into it. I made a "studio tour" video as well.

  5. I use a desktop and the video was fine, as was your voice and humor :) (Well, except for not being able to hear you when the machine is running, but I'm sure you're aware of that.) I would love to see more videos if you enjoy doing them.

I hope B5881 wasn't in the donation pile.

    1. That machine was a lot louder than I expected. I have two more videos ready to go - a tour of the studio - and I'd love to do more in the future. They were fun.

No - 5881 was not in the donation pile. I'm not done playing with it yet.

  6. I was offline yesterday, so went to watch video today... was quite charming! I had no expectations about how you would sound, so was not "surprised" but I know that when I have heard a recording of my own voice it sounds nothing like how I think it should. I wonder how others deal with the sewing machine noise in their videos, maybe with a wearable microphone rather than one in the camera? If making videos is a pleasant thing for you and Howard, I would also like to see more...

    1. I know there's a wy to separate sound from image but I'm not sure if there's a way to separate out some sounds. It's all something to research. Ideally, I'll get a camera with a remote so I can do the videos by myself. Also a camera that takes longer videos or I'll have to learn how to splice.

  7. Myrna...No I did not see your video. Your blog comes to me thru bloglovin'. I double checked yesterdays (Monday's)...your blog post is not there. I went to my deleted file...went thru all my bloglovin' e-mails for the last week and a half and there aren't any of your blogs in there. I'm going to go back from this post to see if I can see it.

  8. I also read on an iPad and only a blank was where the video was supposed to be. :(

    1. I talked to Peter - Male Pattern Boldness - and it seems the trick is posting to You Tube so it's readable in different formats. I'll change this one once I can access it from my "fixed" computer. Hopefully soon.

  9. I was being lazy yesterday so I didn't comment. I enjoyed it, both of you were funny. Your voice sounds the way I pictured it. The video was fun to watch and hear.

  10. I didn't get to read Monday but just now, when I finally got to look at your blog, I was head-scratchin' about the lack of a video. All the other comments made me feel better...I, too, read on an iPad.
Funny that you hear your cousin's voice...I also hear my cousin when I listen to recordings of myself!

    1. My cousin and I are a lot alike - apparently more so than we thought. I think I have a fix for the videos - posting to YouTube. I'll try it asap and hopefully that and future videos will work.

  11. I fell behind reading blogs due to back-to-back company. Just saw the video... your voice sounds exactly like I thought it might, and it's a great fun voice - when I could hear it over the sewing machine. I hope you do more of them, and I'm sure your husband will figure out how to dampen the sound of the machine.

    1. How fun that I sound like you thought I sounded. I will do more. I think they may help me to express some ideas better.
